2018년 미-중 무역 분쟁, 2019년 일본의 대한 수출 규제, 2022년 러시아-우크라이나 전쟁 등 국제 분쟁이 격화됨에 따라 세계 각국은 소위 '경제안보정책'이라 불리는 적극적인 대응 방안을 마련하고 있다. 본 연구는 2018년 미-중 무역 분쟁 이후 한국의 반도체 산업의 무역 동향을 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 타국의 경제안보정책이 한국의 반도체 산업 무역에 미친 영향에 대해 파악하고자 하였다.

우선 메모리 반도체의 경우, 대미, 대중 무역액은 증가 추세를, 대일 무역액은 감소 추세를 보였다. 시스템 반도체의 경우, 2020년 이후 대중, 대일 무역액이 큰 폭으로 증가하였다. 부품 및 기타 반도체의 경우, 대중 무역액이 2012년부터 감소 추세를 보였다. 지난 15년간 한국 반도체 산업의 대중 의존도가 높아졌으며 이는 반도체 글로벌 공급망 개편으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 대중 무역에의 직간접적 제약이 한국의 반도체 산업에 막대한 영향을 끼칠 수 있음을 시사한다.

As international disputes such as the U.S.-China trade dispute in 2018, Japan's export restrictions to Korea in 2019, and the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022, countries around the world are preparing active countermeasures called ‘economic security policies’. This study attempted to analyze the trade trends of Korea's semiconductor industry after the U.S.-China trade dispute in 2018 and to understand the impact of other countries' economic security policies on Korea's semiconductor industry trade.

First of all, in the case of memory semiconductors, trade with the U.S. and China showed an increasing trend, and trade with Japan showed a decreasing trend. In the case of system semiconductors, trade with China and Japan has increased significantly since 2020. In the case of parts and other semiconductors, trade with China has been on the decline since 2012. The Korean semiconductor industry has become more dependent on China over the past 15 years, suggesting that direct and indirect restrictions on trade with China, which may arise from the reorganization of the global supply chain for semiconductors, could have a huge impact on Korea's semiconductor industry.
