본 연구는 모국어(L1) 영어, 일본어, 터키어 화자들이 한국어를 제2언어(L2)로 학습할 때 Montalbetti (1984)가 주장한 명시 대명사 제약(Overt Pronoun Constraint, OPC)을 습득할 수 있는지를 탐구하는 실험 설계를 제안한다. L1 영어 화자들은 비영주어적 특성 때문에 OPC 습득이 어렵고, L1 일본어 화자들은 영주어적 특성으로 비교적 쉽게 습득할 것으로 예상되며, L1 터키어 화자들은 독특한 학습 양상을 보일 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구는 모국어 전이와 L2 입력이 OPC 습득에 미치는 영향을 탐구하며, 추후 실증 연구의 기초를 제공한다.
