현재 인공지능 시대에 맞춰 지식재산권 정책을 논의하고 개선하기 위한 다양한 노력이 진행되고 있다. 인공지능은 4차 산업혁명의 핵심 기술로, 여러 산업 분야에서 특허 출원과 연구 논문의 발행이 급증하고 있다. 이 연구는 학술연구정보서비스(RISS)에 게재된 국내 학술논문을 정량적으로 분석하여, 국내인공지능 관련 지식재산권 연구 동향을 체계적으로 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 통해 연구자, 정책 입안자 및 법률 전문가들에게 기초 데이터를 제공하여, 향후 정책 수립과 학문적 발전에 기여할 중요한 자료로 활용될 것이다.

연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2017년 이후 인공지능 관련 지식재산권 논문 수가 급격히 증가하여 2023년에는 최고치인 127편을 기록하였다. 둘째, 주요 주제어의 TF-IDF 분석 결과, ‘저작권’과 ‘인공지능’이 가장 중요한 주제어로 나타났다. 셋째, 10개의 주요 토픽을 도출한 결과 ‘저작물과 저작권 보호’, ‘특허와 알고리즘’, ‘인공지능과 발명’ 등의 토픽이 높은 비중을 차지했다. 마지막으로 토픽 트렌드 분석을 통해 2023년에 다양한 분야에서 인공지능 관련 연구가 최고점에 도달한 것을 확인하였다.

With the progress in artificial intelligence (AI), considerable efforts are being made to improve intellectual property policies. AI is a core technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and patent applications and research papers are increasingly published in various industrial fields. This study aimed to systematically understand the trend in intellectual property research related to AI in Korea by quantitatively analyzing domestic academic papers published by the Research Information Sharing Service (RISS). The findings will enable researchers, policymakers, and legal experts to contribute to future policy establishment and academic development.

The results were as follows: First, the number of papers on intellectual property related to artificial intelligence has increased rapidly since 2017, recording the highest number of 127 articles in 2023. Second, the TF-IDF analysis of major keywords revealed that “copyrights” and “artificial intelligence” were the most important keywords. Third, among ten major topics, “work and copyright protection,” “patent and algorithm,” and “artificial intelligence and invention” had a high proportion. Finally, the topic trend analysis confirmed that AI-related research reached the highest point in various fields in 2023.
