본 연구는 대학생의 수업 참여가 전공 수업 만족도에 미치는 영향을 탐색하고, 이 과정에서 스터디 활동의 매개효과와 성별의 조절된 매개효과를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 충청남도 소재 K 대학교 재학생 673명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수업 참여를 독립변수로, 전공 수업 만족도를 종속변수로, 스터디 활동을 매개변수로, 성별을 조절변수로 설정하여 SPSS 24.0 및 SPSS Process Macro를 활용하여 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수업 참여는 스터디 활동을 정적으로 예측하였으며, 매개변수인 스터디 활동은 종속변수인 전공 만족도를 정적으로 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 수업 참여가 스터디 활동에 미치는 영향력과 수업 참여가 스터디 활동을 통해 전공 만족도에 미치는 영향력을 성별이 조절하고 있음이 확인되었다. 구체적으로 수업 참여가 스터디 활동에 미치는 영향이 여학생보다 남학생에게서 크게 나타나는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 학습자의 수업 참여와 협력적 학습 경험을 촉진할 수 있는 교수-학습 전략 마련의 필요성을 제기하며, 성별 특성을 고려한 교육적 시사점을 제공한다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of college students’ class participation on major course satisfaction and to examine the mediating effect of study group activities, as well as the moderated mediation effect of gender in this process. A survey was conducted with 673 undergraduate students enrolled at K University in Chungcheongnam-do. In the research model, class participation was specified as the independent variable, major course satisfaction as the dependent variable, study group activities as the mediating variable, and gender as the moderating variable. The data were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 and the SPSS PROCESS Macro. The main findings are as follows. First, class participation positively predicted study group activities, which in turn positively predicted major course satisfaction, confirming the mediating effect of study group activities. Second, gender was found to moderate the effect of class participation on study group activities. Specifically, the influence of class participation on study group activities was stronger for male students than for female students. This study is significant in that it highlights the importance of fostering students’ self-directed learning and collaborative task performance. Furthermore, it underscores the need to develop teaching-learning strategies that can promote learners’ class participation and collaborative learning experiences, while also providing educational implications that consider gender characteristics.
