이 연구는 부산도서관을 사례로 하여 광역대표도서관의 공동보존서고 서비스 활성화를 위한 방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 공동보존서고 이용자와 해당 업무 담당 사서를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 공동보존서고에 대한 인식 및 요구를 조사하였다. 이를 토대로 1) 열람 및 대출 서비스 개선, 2) 신규 서비스 발굴, 3) 디지털 컬렉션 구축 및 제공 확대, 4) 전담 조직 구성 및 인력 확보, 5) 광역대표도서관 차원의 공동보존서고 정책 수립의 공동보존서고 서비스 활성화 방안을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 공동보존서고의 서비스 활성화를 위한 정책적 시사점을 제시하고, 그 이용 확대를 위한 기초자료로서 부산도서관 공동보존서고 서비스의 현황 진단과 개선방향을 제시하고 타 광역대표도서관을 위한 정책적 시사점을 제공한다는 데 의의가 있다.

This study aimed to propose strategies for enhancing the services of cooperative repositories at metropolitan representative libraries, with a focus on the Busan Library. To this end, a survey was conducted among users and librarians of the cooperative repository to examine their perceptions of and needs regarding its services. Based on the results, this study proposes five strategies for service improvement: (1) improvement of reading and circulation services, (2) identification of new services, (3) development and provision of digital collections, (4) establishment of a dedicated organization and reinforcement of staffing, and (5) formulation of cooperative repository policies at the metropolitan library level. This study is expected to serve as a fundamental resource for developing strategies to enhance the use and services of cooperative repositories.
