군집 AUV 네트워크에서 라우팅 기반 전송과 지연 허용 전송 성능 비교 = A comparative performance analysis of routing based transmission and deferred transmission in AUV swarm networks
This paper presents a comparative performance analysis of routing-based transmission(RT) and deferred transmission(DT) for AUV swarm networks in unreliable underwater acoustic channels. To support RT, a proactive routing algorithm is proposed, establishing uplink and downlink routes by incorporating the latest channel status while avoiding extra routing messages. Simulation results show that, although RT incurs up to a fivefold increase in average delay compared to DT, it achieves a 44% improvement in untransmitted data ratio and a 10% improvement in data transmission rate on average. These findings demonstrate that, for robust operation of AUV swarms in harsh underwater environments, maintaining a reliable communication link through RT is essential, even at the cost of increased delay.
