남녀고등학생의 성경험에 미치는 영향요인 : 2024 청소년건강행태 온라인조사를 이용한 2차 자료분석 = Factors influencing the sexual experience of male and female high school students : secondary data analysis of the 2024 Youth Health Risk Behavior Web-Based Survey
This study was conducted to identify the factors influencing sexual experience among male and female high school students using the 20th (2024) Korea Youth Health Behavior Survey data. A total of 25,564 students were analyzed through complex sample design based logistic regression. Independent variables included sociodemographic factors (gender, perceived academic performance, residential type, economic status), mental health factors (loneliness, depression, perceived stress), and health behavior factors (smoking, alcohol use, drug experience). The results indicated that male students were significantly more likely to have sexual experience than female students, and that lower academic performance, poorer economic conditions, and non-parental living arrangements were associated with higher sexual experience rates. Additionally, adolescents with frequent feelings of loneliness or depression, high stress perception, and histories of smoking, drinking, or drug use were more likely to engage in sexual activity. These findings suggest that adolescent sexual behavior is shaped by a combination of individual, psychological, family, and socioeconomic factors. Therefore, comprehensive sexual education based on gender equality and an integrated mental health support system should be reinforced through collaboration among schools, families, and local communities.
