본 연구는 <금천, 다문화를 품다> 축제의 일환으로 진행된 다문화 연극교육프로그램의 특성과 참여자 변화를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 다문화인 10명(5가정)과 비(非)다문화인 9명, 총 19명을 대상으로 2025년 7월 6일부터 8월 31일까지 금천뮤지컬센터에서 10주간 실시된 프로그램을 연구자가 직접 기획·지도하고, 공연 연출 및 사후 설문을 수행하였다.

연구 결과, 첫째 자기 인식과 소통 능력이 향상되었으며, 둘째 타인 이해와 공감을 통한 관계 형성이 확장되었다. 셋째, 참여형·체험형 교육 방식의 도입으로 프로그램 만족도와 협력적 학습 효과가 높게 나타났고, 참여자 대부분이 재참여 의사를 밝혔다. 넷째, 참여자들은 자신감과 자존감을 높이며 다문화 이해와 공동체 의식을 확장하였고, 일부 언어·심리적 어려움에도 불구하고 프로그램을 도전적이면서도 유익한 경험으로 인식, 향후 지속적 확대를 희망하였다. 따라서 다문화 연극교육프로그램의 질적 제고와 확산을 위해 심도 깊은 후속 연구가 뒤따라야 할 것이다.
