그리드 연계 효율 빌딩(GEB) 커뮤니티 구현을 위한 기술 동향 : 패시브 설계부터 AI 기반 운영 최적화까지 = Research trends on grid-interactive efficient building communities : from passive design to AI-based operational optimization
To address the urgent demands of the climate crisis and achieve carbon neutrality, the building sector is shifting its focus from individual buildings to integrated Grid-Interactive Efficient Building (GEB) communities. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the latest research trends driving the realization of these next-generation sustainable communities. The scope of this review systematically charts the technological advancement from foundational Passive Design strategies that minimize building energy demand, through the integration of Resource Recovery systems that recycle waste energy and water, to advanced Operational Optimization enabled by Artificial Intelligence (AI). A significant focus is placed on AI’s pivotal role in enhancing Community Energy Management, particularly in optimizing Demand Response (DR) and facilitating peer-to-peer energy sharing. Furthermore, this study underscores the critical need for integrated Performance Assessment frameworks to holistically evaluate the energy, environmental, and economic benefits of these complex systems. By revealing the synergistic relationships between these core technologies, this paper offers crucial insights and outlines future research directions for the development of intelligent, resilient GEB communities.
