무화과곰보바구미가 지중해 연안의 유럽 남부지역 및 한국의 무화과 재배 지역에서 빠르게 확산되고 있어 긴급한 방제 조치가 필요하다. 이연구에서는 실험실 조건에서 무화과곰보바구미(Aclees taiwanensis)가 23종의 시판용 살충제에 대한 감수성을 조사하여 효과적인 살충제를 선발하 는 것을 목표로 하였다. 성충에 대하여 다양한 희석농도의 살충제에 노출시켜 사망률을 평가하였다. 그 결과, Nereistoxin 유사체 그룹에 속하는

Cartap hydrochloride이 낮은 희석농도에서도 100% 사망률을 보여 가장 효과적인 살충제로 확인되었다. 또한, Carbaryl, Carbosulfan, Fenobucarb (카바메이트계), Fenitrothion, Phenthoate (유기인계)도 처리 7일 후에 성충에 대하여 효과적이었다(>76.7% 사망률). LC 50 값도 급성독 성 시험을 통해 추정되었다.
