한자의 上古音을 연구하다보면 上古音과 고대한국어의 발음이 서로 같거나 유사한어휘들을 종종 발견하게 된다. 이러한 사실을 발견한 학자들은 한중 양국 간 어휘의차용 문제를 심각하게 고민하게 되었다. 국가 간 어휘의 차용 문제를 살펴보기 위해서는 체계적인 접근이 필요한데, 이를 위해 본고에서는 諧聲을 이용하는 방법을 취해 연구를 진행했다. 그 결과 複聲母인 上古音에서 발음이 같거나 유사한 경우가 상당수 존재함을 확인하게 되었다. 이를 확인하기 위해 본고에서는 [*kl(r)-]형 複聲母 인 ‘奚聲’系字([*glee])와 필자가 다른 논문에서 이미 살펴봤던 [*pl(r)-]형 複聲母인 ‘不聲’系字([*pɯd]), ‘丕聲’系字([*phrɯ]), ‘否聲’系字([*brɯʔ]), ‘咅聲’系字([*pʰlɯ̠s])를통해 고대한국어와 체계적인 대응 관계를 간단하게 언급한 후, 또 다른 [*pl(r)-]형 複聲母인 ‘皮聲’系字([*bral]), ‘(票)聲’系字([*prew])의 연구를 통해 이들 역시 고대 한국어와 매우 체계적으로 대응하고 있음을 확인하게 되었다. 이러한 내용들에 근거 하여 얻어낸 결론은 다음과 같다. 하나, 複聲母인 上古音과 고대한국어 간 대응이 광범위하고 대량의 유관파생어를 구비하고 있으며 체계적 대응 현상을 보인다는 점으로 미루어, 이는 결코 평범한 차용관계로 볼 수 없다. 둘, 同音異義 현상에 직면할때 중국어보다는 고대한국어로 접근함이 훨씬 효과적이다. 셋, 上古音보다 훨씬 더많은 複聲母가 존재했을 것으로 추정되는 遠古漢語 시기에는 複聲母인 遠古音과 고대한국어가 상당수 일치했을 가능성을 배제할 수 없으므로, 이는 곧 한국어 祖語가 한자 창제에 일정 부분 영향을 끼쳤을 가능성을 완전히 배제하지는 못할 것이다.

When studying phonological system of Old Chinese sound, one can find a number of lexical items that are identical or similar to those in Old Korean. This phenomenon raises the issue of lexical borrowing between the two languages. To address this problem, a systematic approach is required, and in this study, the analysis is carried out trrough the framework of the Phonetic Radical System.

First of all, after examining the systematic correspondence with Old Korean through [*kl(r)-]-type Compound initial consonant 奚 Phonetic Radicals([*glee]), it was found that the [*pl(r)-]-type Compound initial consonant also shows systematic correspondence with Old Korean, as demonstrated through the study of the 皮 Phonetic Radicals([*bral]). Moreover, the (票) Phonetic Radicals likewise exhibits a highly systematic correspondence with Old Korean.

Based on these findings, ibot can be concluded that this phenomenon cannot be regarded as a case of ordinary lexical borrowing. The correspondences between the compound initial consonants of Old Chinese and those of Old Korean are extensive, with a large number of related derivatives. Therfore, it cannot be entirely ruled out that the ancestral form of the Korean language exerted some influence on the creation of Chinese characters during the period of Ancient Chinese, when numerous compound initial consonants are believed to have exsited.
