본 연구는 ‘X迷’ 어휘를 구성하는 ‘迷’에 대한 통시적 연구를 통해, 준접사 ‘迷’의 형성과 발전 과정을 고찰하였다. 의미 분석 결과, ‘迷’의 본의는 ‘길을 잃다’, ‘혼미하다’ 라는 동사적 의미였으나, 청대 이후 ‘財迷’, ‘戲迷’ 등의 어휘에서 보이듯이 특정 대상에 몰입하거나 그에 열중하는 사람을 지시하는 의미로 확장되었다. 1920년대를 거치면서 이러한 용법은 점차 일반화되어, 현대에 이르러서는 높은 생산성을 지닌 준접사로 정착하였다. 문법 분석 결과, ‘迷’는 ‘고유어 → 합성어화 → 준접사화’의 단계를거치며 의미의 허화와 위치의 고정, 그리고 명사적 품사 표시 기능을 획득하였다. 본래 독립적 실질형태소였던 ‘迷’는 다른 어휘와 결합하면서 합성어의 일부로 사용되었 고, 그 과정에서 ‘어떤 대상에 심취한 사람’이라는 파생적 의미가 고정되며 준접사적속성을 갖추게 되었다. 이러한 변화는 한자어 내부의 의미 전이뿐 아니라 사회문화적 인식 구조의 변화를 반영한 결과로 볼 수 있다. 또한 이러한 변화는 단순한 어휘내부의 변이 현상을 넘어, 근대 이후 개인의 취향과 정체성을 중시하는 사회문화적인식 구조의 전환과도 밀접한 관련이 있다. 따라서 ‘迷’의 준접사화 과정은 언어 변화와 문화적 패러다임 변화가 상호작용한 결과로 해석할 수 있으며, 이는 현대 중국 어에서 신어 형성 및 사회문화적 의미 변동을 이해하는 중요한 단서를 제공한다.

This study examines the diachronic development of the morpheme mi (迷) in “X-mi” lexical constructions, focusing on the formation and evolution of its quasi-affixal prop erties. The semantic analysis reveals that the original meaning of mi was a verb meaning “to lose one’s way” or “to be confused.” However, since the Qing dynasty, as seen in ex pressions such as caimi (“money-obsessed person”) and ximi (“drama fan”), the morphem e has extended to denote a person deeply immersed or devoted to a specific object or acti vity. Throughout the 1920s, this usage gradually became generalized, and in modern Chin ese, mi has been fully established as a highly productive quasi-suffix.Grammatical analysi s shows that mi underwent the stages of morphemization → compounding → quasi-affixa tion, acquiring features such as semantic bleaching, fixed post-root position, and nominal function marking. Originally an independent lexical morpheme, mi came to function as part of compounds, and through this process, its derived meaning—“a person fascinated or o bsessed with something”—became fixed, giving it quasi-affixal attributes. This linguistic evolution reflects not only the internal semantic shift within Chinese but also broader soci o-cultural changes in patterns of cognition and expression.
