요코미쓰 리이치의 소설『상해』･『문장』･『가족회의』를 중심으로, 본 논문은 전쟁으로 향하는 경제 시스템의 구조적 붕괴와 폭력을 분석한다. 특히 자본주의 체제 내에서 개인이 필연적으로 소멸되는 과정을 핵심 문제의식으로 설정하여, 쇼와 공황과 군국주의로의 이행이 개인적 타락이나 윤리적 결함이 아닌 경제･사회 구조적 모순의 필연적 결과임을 규명한다. 『상해』에서는 해외 식민지 도시에서 반제 통일전선과 중국 민족 자본가들의 이해관계가 충돌하며 계급투쟁이 반복되는 구조적 한계를 살핀다. 『문장』에서는 특허가 금융자본 유치의 도구로 전락하고 과학 전문가와 독점 자본의 결탁이 이권 독점으로 악용되는 현실을 분석하며, 주인공 카리가네의 특허권 ‘해방’ 행위를 통해 반(反)독점 자본주의적 사상을 실천적으로 구현함을 보여준다. 『가족회의』에서는 금융 투기 경쟁과 중산층 몰락을 통한 군중화와 그로 인한 파시즘 세력 형성을 각각 조명한다. 이를 통해 요코미쓰 문학은 개인 윤리의 문제를 넘어, 자본과 국가의 다층적 구조적 모순을 통합적･비판적 시각에서 예리하게 드러내며, 1930년대 일본 사회 위기의 문학적 진단으로서의 의미를 분명히 한다.
