연구목적: 본 연구는 지역사회인식이 친구관계와 교사관계를 매개로 고등학생의 다문화수용성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 시사점을 도출하는 데 목적이 있다.

연구방법: 한국아동․청소년 패널조사 2018(KCYPS2018) 6차년도(2023년) 자료 2,224명을 분석대상으로 활용하였고 지역사회인식을 독립변인, 친구관계와 교사관계를 매개변인, 다문화수용성을 종속변인으로 연구모형을 설정하고 SPSS 23.0과 AMOS 29.0을 활용하였다. 분석 방법은기술통계, 상관관계, 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시하였다.

연구결과: 분석 결과 첫째, 지역사회인식은 다문화수용성에 직접적인 정적인 영향을 미치고있었다. 둘째, 지역사회인식은 친구관계와 교사관계에 모두 정적인 영향을 미치고 있었다. 셋째, 지역사회인식은 친구관계와 교사관계를 매개로 다문화수용성에 정적인 영향을 미치고 있었다.

고찰: 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 지역사회인식과 청소년의 관계 변인이 다문화수용성을 위한 중요한 영향요인으로 작용하며, 지역사회 차원에서 다문화에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 증진시키는 정책, 청소년의 관계 형성을 위한 교육 프로그램 지원 필요 등을 제언으로 제시하였다.
