본 연구는 간호역사 교육 전과 후 간호대학생의 전문직 정체성 차이를 비교하기 위해 실시된 단일군 사전·사후 설계 연구이다. 간호학과 1학년 학생 50명을 대상으로 총 7시간의 간호역사교육을 실시하였고, 간호역사 교육 전과 후 전문직 정체성에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술적 통계와 paired t-test를 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 간호 역사 교육 전 전문직 정체성의 평균 점수는 3.12점(±0.61), 교육 후 평균 점수는 3.55점(±0.75)으로 나타났으며, 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다(t=-2.82, p=.007). 따라서 간호대학생의 전문직 정체성 확립을 위해서는 간호역사 교육의 강화와 내실화가 필요하다. 이를 근거로 향후 대조군을 확보하여 간호역사교육이 전문직 정체성에 미치는 영향을 검증하는 연구의 시행을 제언한다.
