수영장의 물리적 환경이 안전문화, 안전행동에 미치는 영향

연구 목적: 본 연구는 수영장의 물리적 환경, 종사자의 안전문화, 안전행동 간의 관계를 규명하는 데 목적이 있다.

연구 방법: 연구대상은 전국 110개 수영장에서 근무하는 종사자 210명이며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 26.0과 SmartPLS 4.0을 활용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도 및 타당도 분석, 그리고 구조방정식모형(PLS-SEM) 분석을 실시하였다.

연구 내용: 수영장의 물리적 환경은 안전문화와 안전행동과 정적 관계를 보였으며, 안전문화는 안전행동과 정적 관계를 나타냈다. 또한 안전문화는 물리적 환경과 안전행동 간의 관계에서 매개 역할을 수행하는 것으로 확인되었다.

결론 및 제언: 수영장의 물리적 환경은 종사자의 안전문화와 안전행동에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인으로 확인되었으며, 안전문화는 안전행동을 촉진하는 핵심 매개 변수로 작용함을 알 수 있었다. 이는 수영장 안전관리가 시설 중심의 관리에서 벗어나, 물리적 환경 관리와 종사자의 안전문화 형성을 통합적으로 고려하는 방향으로 전환될 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

The Effects of the Physical Environment of Swimming Poolson Employees’ Safety Behavior:The Mediating Role of Safety Culture*

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between the physical environment of swimming pools, employees’ safety culture, and safety behavior. Participants were 210 employees from 110 swimming pools nationwide. Data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and SmartPLS 4.0, employing frequency analysis, reliability and validity analyses, and PLS-SEM. The physical environment was positively associated with safety culture and safety behavior. Safety culture was also positively associated with safety behavior and mediated the relationship between the physical environment and safety behavior. The physical environment of swimming pools was identified as an important factor influencing employees’ safety culture and safety behavior, and safety culture was found to function as a key mediating variable that promotes safety behavior. These findings suggest that swimming pool safety management should move beyond a facility-centered approach and shift toward an integrated strategy that simultaneously considers physical environment management and the development of employees’ safety culture.
