본 연구 목적은 디지털 조력이 고령자의 디지털정보활용역량에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 이 관계에서 디지털기기 이용 태도의 매개효과를 실증적으로 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 전국 60세 이상 고령자 435명을 대상으로 구축된 경희대학교 AgeTech 연구소의 「2024년 한국 고령자 기술수용도 패널조사」데이터를 활용하였다. 분석에는 Hayes의 PROCESS macro Model No. 4가 적용되었다. 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 디지털 조력은 고령자의 디지털정보활용역량에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 디지털기기 이용태도 또한 디지털정보활용역량에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 디지털 조력은 디지털기기 이용태도를 매개로 디지털정보활용역량에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되어 부분 매개효과가 실증되었다. 이러한 결과는 고령자의 디지털정보활용역량을 향상시키기 위해서는 다양한 조력원이 상호 연계되는 다차원적 디지털 조력 환경을 조성하고, 긍정적인 디지털기기 이용태도를 강화하는 정책적 노력이 병행되어야 함을 시사한다. 본 연구는 고령자의 디지털 포용을 촉진하기 위한 이론적 토대를 제공함과 동시에, 디지털정보활용역량을 제고하기 위한 실천적·정책적 전략 수립에 기초자료를 제공할 것이다.
