이 연구에서는 <사고와 표현> 교과목을 학습자 중심 수업으로 운영하기 위한 방안을 모색할 목적으로 학습자 중심 수업에 대한 학생들의 인식과 요구를 조사하고자 하였다. S대학교 <사고와 표현> 수강생을 대상으로 수업 방식의 선호도와 학습자 중심 수업에 대한 인식과 요구를 설문 조사와 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 통해 살펴보았다. 조사 결과, 교수의 강의 중심 수업에 대한 선호도가 매우 높고, 활동 기반 수업 방식에 대한 불호 경향이 높았으며, 학습자 중심 수업의 가장 중요한 요건인 학습자의 주도성에 대한 인식이 부족하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 조사 결과는 <사고와 표현>을 포함하여 대학 수업을 학습자 중심수업으로 운영하기 위해서는 학습자의 활동 의지를 끌어올릴 수 있는 체계적이고 실질적인 수업 방안이 마련되어야 한다는 점을 시사한다.

This study attempted to investigate students’ perceptions and demands for learner-centered classes for the purpose of finding a way to operate the subject as a learner-centered class. The preference of the teaching method and the perception and demand for learner-centered classes were examined through surveys and focus group interviews targeting students of at S University. As a result of the survey, it was found that the professor's preference for lecture-centered classes was very high, the tendency to dislike activity-based teaching methods was high, and there was a lack of awareness of the learner's initiative, which is the most important requirement of learner-centered classes. These findings suggest that in order to operate university classes as learner-centered classes, including , a systematic and practical teaching plan that can increase learners’ willingness to engage in activities must be prepared.
