his study analyzes how discussions on digital transformation (DX) in South Korea have evolved following the emergence of generative artificial intelligence (AI) from 2022 to 2025. Using topic modeling based on Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA), the study examined 4,213 domestic news articles to trace structural changes in DX-related discourse.

As a result, five major themes were identified. (1) AI-based technological leadership competition, (2) enhancement of literacy and human resource development (AX), (3) innovation in digital government and administrative systems, (4) sustainable transformation of major industries such as low-carbon and logistics, and (5) the emergence of AI ethics, regulation, and data governance.

Compared with earlier DX discourse (1994–2021), recent trends indicate a shift from technology adoption toward capacity building and responsible governance. In the context of generative AI, DX has been recognized as a continuous process integrating technological, human, and institutional expertise and adaptation. This study contributes to re-conceptualizing digital transformation (DX) in the era of generative AI as a socio-technical system transformation process that integrates human values and ethical responsibility, rather than a purely technology-centered phenomenon.
