연구목적: 본 연구는 전통무용가 한영숙에 관한 학술연구의 현황과 보도기사의 프레임에서 인간문화재 제도를 둘러싼 전통무용계의 상징투쟁이 ‘전통춤의 역사 만들기’와 연결됨을 조사했다. 연구방법: 한국학술지인용색인(KCI)의 ‘한영숙-춤’ 관련 연구를 연간 논문발표 건수와 주제별 분류로 그 현황적 특징을 관찰했으며, 네이버뉴스라이브러리의 1969년부터 1999년까지 약 20년간 ‘한영숙-춤’ 활동과 사후 10년간 후속세대의 추모 활동 기사의 형식적, 내용적 프레임에서 전통춤계의 인정 경쟁이 한영숙에 관한 무용사적 인식 및 평가와 연결됨을 살펴보았다. 연구결과: 학술연구 성과는 주제나 발간연도에서 인간문화재 지정 종목과의 관련성이 유의해 보인다. 한영숙을 ‘전통춤의 역사’이자 ‘한국춤의 원류’ 등으로 의미화한 언론 기사의 내용적 프레임은 한영숙이 전통춤 홀춤 분야의 유일한 인간문화재라는 상징성과 사후 인간문화재 보유자 인정을 둘러싼 후속세대의 경쟁적인 전승 및 추모 활동과 연결된다. 결론:한영숙에 대한 무용사적 기술과 평가는 인간문화재 제도와 연계된 후속세대의 상징투쟁과 관련이 있다. 이는 한영숙의 생애와 예술의 무용사적 기록과 평가는 고정된 것이 아니라 후속세대의 해석과 의미화 노력으로 변화됨을 보여준다.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the connection between the symbolic struggle in the traditional dance world relating to human cultural properties and the 'making the history of traditional dance' through an analysis of the current academic research on traditional dancer Han Young-sook and the framing of a news article. Methods: It analyzed the current status characteristics of the Korean Journal Citation Index (KCI)'s ‘Han YoungSook.-Dance’ studies and the formal and content frame of related articles in the NaverNewsLibrary. Result: It seems to be related to academic research on the dance designated as a human cultural property in the year of publication. The framing of the media articles, 'The History of Traditional Dance' and 'The Origins of Korean Dance', is linked to the symbolism of being the only human cultural property and to the transmission and memorial activities of subsequent generations for the recognition of human cultural property holders. Conclusion: It shows that the historical records and evaluations of Han YoungSook's life and art are not fixed as objective facts, but rather 'making a history of traditional dance' that changes with interpretation and meaning.
