This study examined the impact of emotional intelligence on career stress and career preparation behavior.
Data were collected from 277 culinary arts students from May 1 to July 1, 2024, and analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 statistical packages. The results revealed that emotional intelligence subfactors recognizing others' emotions, regulating emotions, and utilizing emotions effectively reduced college students' career stress (career ambiguity and lack of career information). Specifically, emotional regulation and utilizing emotions played a key role in reducing career stress, as previously suggested. Recognizing others' emotions also negatively impacted both factors, suggesting the importance of social competence in solving career problems. Conversely, self-emotional awareness did not directly influence career stress reduction.
Furthermore, both subfactors of career stress career ambiguity and lack of career information showed significant negative effects, inhibiting career preparation behavior. This study provides basic data on how emotional intelligence can reduce college students' career stress and positively influence their career preparation behaviors. This will contribute to building confidence and creating opportunities for success.*표시는 필수 입력사항입니다.
