본 연구는 말하기 교수･학습의 보완적 도구로서 생성형 AI를 활용할 경우, 한국어 말하기 대화 연습에서 생성형 AI–학습자 간 대화가 기존 교실내 동료 학습자 간 대화에 비해 상호작용적 효과를 보이는지를 검증하는것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 한국어 학습자의 생성형 AI–학습자 간말하기 대화와 동료 학습자 간 말하기 대화를 분석하여 대화 구조, 학습자 주도성, 상호작용 양상 및 정의적 요인을 중심으로 비교하였다. 연구결과, 생성형 AI와의 말하기 대화는 학습자가 완결된 대화 구조에서 보다 확장적인 과업을 수행하도록 하는 상호작용 구조를 형성하였으며, 학습자가 주도적이고 능동적으로 대화할 수 있는 조건과 의미 협상이 수반되는 상호작용 기회를 지속적으로 제공하였다. 또한, 생성형 AI 기반 말하기 연습은 정의적 부담이 상대적으로 낮고 몰입이 가능한 연습 환경으로 인식되었다.

This study examines whether generative AI–learner(GenAI– L) dialogue in Korean speaking practice produces distinct interactional effects compared with learner–learner(L–L) interaction. Speech data from both environments were analyzed with respect to interactional structure, learner initiative, and affective factors. GenAI–L interactions demonstrated structurally complete and task-expansive patterns, in which learners assumed more active speaker roles. In contrast, L–L interactions tended to be simpler and more linear, although instances of meaning negotiation remained relatively active. These findings suggest that generative AI can complement classroom speaking activities by expanding learners’ opportunities for speaking practice. (Chung-Ang University)
