본 연구는 장애인의 사회활동 참여와 주관적 건강 상태의 관계에서 우울의 매개효과와 지역사회 접근성의 조절효과를 검증하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해, 장애인 삶 패널조사(Disability and Life Dynamics Panel) 5차(2022년) 자료를 활용하였으며, 연구 대상은 만 19세 이상인 장애인 4,140명이다. 분석 방법으로는 SPSS 23.0과 PROCESS macro를 활용하여 매개효과와 조절된 매개효과를 검증하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애인의 사회활동 참여가 주관적 건강 상태에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 장애인의 사회활동 참여와 주관적 건강 상태의 관계에서 우울은 부분매개효과를 보였다. 셋째, 지역사회 접근성이 장애인의 주관적 건강 상태에 보호요인의 역할을 하는지 살펴본 결과, 사회활동 참여가 주관적 건강 상태에 미치는 직접적 영향에서는 조절효과가 유의하게 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 사회활동 참여가 우울을 매개로 주관적 건강 상태에 미치는 간접적 영향은 지역사회 접근성에 의해 조절되는 것으로 나타났다. 이상과 같은 결과를 바탕으로 장애인의 사회활동 참여 증진과 지역사회 접근성 향상을 위한 방안에 대해 제안하였다.
