We present a review of our work on the generation, control, and detection of entanglement between multiple photonic qubits. Our research has been directed towards realizing quantum optical systems based on spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) and linear optics while improving metrics such as the number of entangled qubits and the quality of entanglement. A recent scheme has generated four entangled qubits, and an expanded version has been designed to produce six entangled qubits.
