 This study aims to investigate how two different teaching styles (TETE vs. TETE&K) influence on English reading ability and learners' affective attitudes on English. Fifty-four university students from two classes were chosen for this study. They took 'General English Reading class' for a semester in 2010. The study collected the data from pre- and post-TOEIC-tests (Reading section) in order to know which class improved learners' reading ability more, which was analyzed with the ANOVA using SPSS 17.0. Next, questionnaires were given twice to investigate the change of learners' affective attitudes toward English. The results showed that there was no significant difference in learners' reading ability between TETE and TETE&K. Secondly, learners' affective attitudes of both groups changed positively, and this change can be said to result from the atmosphere of each class, not teaching style. Other teaching equipments such as computer, audio-visual aids can be used to make up for communication between teachers and students.
