In this study, a natural cosmetic product containing 1% extract of Yukmijiwhangtang was prepared and applied to SKH-1 hairless mice repeatedly irradiated with UVB. The following results obtained experimentally verify its potential as a cosmetic material with photoaging skin inhibition and wrinkle improvement effects.
1. The change in skin moisture value was 33.9±3.2% in the YM group, which was significantly (p<0.001) higher than the control group , which was 16.6±2.6%.
2. The dorsal skin wrinkle value was 0.020±0.008mm in the YM group, which significantly (p<0.05) decreased compared to the control group, which was 0.072±0.003mm.
3. Optical findings of skin wrinkles showed that fine wrinkles decreased in the YM group compared to the control group. Furthermore, deep and bold wrinkles were much less and slightly observed in the YM group compared to the control group .
4. The change in dead skin cell value of the skin was lower in YM group at 19.9±3.8 µ2m compared to the control group at 24.0±0.0 µ2m.
5. Epidermal epithelial cell proliferation of the skin decreased in the YM group compared to both control group and positive control group. The epithelial cell layer of the epidermis decreased to 5-6 layers, resulting in the decrease in skin thickness.
6. Changes in the stainability of collagen fibers in the dermis layer of the skin were slightly impaired in the papillary layer of the dermis in the YM group compared to both the control and positive control groups, and the stainability to eosin or aniline blue was stronger.
Based on the results, it can be concluded that the natural cosmetics applied with essence + cream containing 1% of Yukmijiwhangtang extract was effective in improving and preventing UVB-damaged photoaging skin and wrinkles.| 번호 | 참고문헌 | 국회도서관 소장유무 |
